A 2025 federal list of 'sanctuary jurisdictions' that named Massachusetts was pulled by DHS within days for inaccuracy, and the later DOJ list names the city of Boston, not the state.

DHS posted the list 2025-05-29; by 2025-06-01 it was gone after the National Sheriffs' Association objected. Citing the withdrawn list undermines an otherwise documented argument.
